South China University of Technology

Engineering talent for the Greater Bay Area’s industries

South China University of Technology (SCUT) is a Ministry of Education 985 and Double First-Class university, established in 1952 from the engineering faculties of several South China institutions. It is one of China’s strongest technological universities in materials science, chemical engineering, light industry and food science, with several disciplines ranked among the world’s top 50 in subject rankings. SCUT operates three campuses in Guangzhou — the historic Wushan campus, the Higher Education Mega Center campus, and the new international campus in Panyu — and its close ties to Guangdong’s manufacturing, electronics and food industries give international students unusually direct access to internships, industrial research projects and graduate employment across the Greater Bay Area.
